~ bout of books Day 4 Update ~

So I seem to have abandoned my original pile oops
I am just too excited about my library books that I want to read them instead!

I read Legend by Marie Lu.

Legend has been on my goodreads for a while so when I saw it at the library I had to get it. I really enjoyed this book. As I was reading it, I had speculations about certain things that had happened earlier in the book and sure enough I was correct. This book kept me interested all the way through.

Legend is 305 pages which brings my current page count to 1088!

~ bout a book 8.0 Day Two and Three Update ~

Day 2 = FAIL :/
Sometimes life takes over is all I can say about day 2.

However, day 3 went very well! I read about 175 pages of the Iron King by Julie Kagawa before I just couldn't go any further. The book failed to keep me interested and I had to move on. I ended up taking my daughter to the library and found some amazing books that I've been wanting to read. I ended up checking out with 10 books!!! I was so excited when I got home that I immediately started reading, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith and LOVED IT!! Like I said with Anna and the French Kiss I'm a sucker for girl meets girl and they fall in love as we all knew would happen.

I'm now questioning if I want to read the books in my original pile or start reading my library book . . . . . . decisions decisions hehe

page count as of today 783 :)

~ bout a book read-a-thon Day One Update

Today I met my two hundred page goal but couldn't put the book down so read the entire book!

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins was really good! I'm such a sucker for the corny, predictable, young adult romance books.
After I read Isla and the Happily Ever After, I will do a full review on the the three Stephanie Perkins' books: Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door and Isla and the Happily Ever After.

Until then, onto the next book, The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

~bout a books 8.0 read-a-thon~

Bout of Books

I have decided -very last minute- to take part in the bout a books 8.0 read-a-thon.
This is my first ever read-a-thon and I'm excited to get started!

"The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 8.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog." - From the Bout of Books team

I like that I choose my reading goals for the week and I'm not in competition with anyone but myself.

My goals are: 1. To read at least 200 pages a day.
2. To update my blog every day with an update on how I'm doing.

The books I have chosen to read are:

1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

2. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

3. Sirens by Janet Fox

4. The White Queen by Philippa Gregory

IF I finish these four books I want to start Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

I better get reading
