another goodbye and family pictures

We dropped Aaron off at the airport at 5:15am. I couldn't hold back my tears. Saying goodbye never gets easy . . . in fact it seems to get harder and harder. I know he'll have a lot of fun in Germany and Hannah and I will have a good time with family and friends too. Can't wait for the end of July to get her so we can pick Aaron up from the airport :)

such a busy week!

We had until Friday at 3:30pm to have everything out of our house and have it completely clean!! That didn't sound too hard of a task; however, with Aaron doing more training during the week and myself tending to a sick baby things get difficult. I also didn't realize just how much stuff we had accumulated! So much junk!! I have no pictures of the most stressful week of my life but I'm happy to say we made it with seconds to spare! Aaron and I were both exhausted.

Easter

We picked up Aaron from the airport and headed straight up to see family for the Easter weekend. We spent the evening with my sister, Kerri, and her family.

That night we colored some Easter eggs. Hannah and Brynn did not participate in the activity of obvious reasons (they would have made a huge mess!) However, Ashlyn and Nathan had a great time :)

On Easter morning, we had an Easter egg hunt (which I took zero pics :/ ) and a delicious breakfast.

I forget what it was called but I know it had crossants in it. 

I'll get the recipe from my sister.

Then we visited with Aaron's family for the day before heading back to my Mum and Dad's house for another Easter egg hunt and the most amazing lamb dinner EVER!!

surprise fail :(

I had everything planned out. Hannah and I would go to the airport to surprise Aaron (who was going to get the military bus home.) We would be standing off to the side so he wouldn't see us and then I would let Hannah walk over to him as I filmed. FAIL!!! I hadn't seen Aaron come down the stairs so still thought my plan was ready to go. Then, Hannah started to get really excited. She only gets this way when she sees someone she loves. Yep, there he was with a huge smile on his face because he was reunited with us! I was also very happy to have him back but he ruined my surprise. Aaron came down the stairs and instead of heading to baggage claim went to the restroom. Why were we hiding so close to the restroom :/ 

It was still a great surprise for Aaron.
